BARBARESCO SQUIZY PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

Fairy-tale landscapes

On March 5, an exhibition of real landscapes, even if manipulated by the artist’s hand, will be inaugurated at the tower of Barbaresco Squizy. They are digitally processed photographs, printed with pictorial pigments, in Giclée print. The print quality is exceptional, carried out by professional plotter for valuable artistic productions, lasting over the centuries. These images are linked to the artist’s life: places lived day after day, moments captured and scheduled shootings. They are pills of landscape aesthetics between present and past: the presence of a hen represents the life of the farmyard as opposed to the modernization of agriculture and the overbuilding of large territories.

These images depict the recovery of time: they are landscapes with a 180-degree view, impossible to grasp with a single glance. The artist then concentrated them in a single “square” image. The choice of the square and saturated colors refers to social networks: we are no longer used to enjoying real life, but everything seems filtered and the addiction of colors leads us not to see reality. Time is now poor because we waste it looking at “smart” devices. Another worldview that seeks to heal the heart and save us from banality.
